Thirty (30) startups were selected to attend the “Twendy Huíla 2025” incubation program, an initiative of National Institute of Support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) in partnership with the Municipal Administration of Lubango and Rinovac.

According to what was revealed to the MenosFios editorial team, the event marks the beginning of the training program under the “Twendy Huíla”, at the Huíla Business Incubator Center, and was attended by distinguished personalities from that region.

Twendy Huíla is an initiative that aims to train entrepreneurial startups, who will benefit from three months of intensive training to achieve better levels of competitiveness and sustainability, within the scope of the promotion and expansion program of the National Incubator Network.

Please note that this program aims to increase investment in Angolan startups, which is still very low according to the President of the Board of Directors of INAPEM, Bráulio Augusto.

Speaking on the sidelines of the presentation conference for the 2024 edition of Angola Startup Summit 2024 By Unitel, the director reported that the rate of investment in emerging projects developed by Angolan startups that participated in the last two editions of the event was below expectations.

According to Bráulio Augusto, there is currently a major challenge in attracting investors to Angolan startups, essentially, due to the lack of comfort and legal security necessary to encourage the emergence of 'angel investors' with the capacity to support the implementation and scalability of innovative models.
