Angola online project arrives in Huíla province

The implementation of the project “Angola Online”Has recently returned on the rise, with the installation of free internet access points in the provinces of Cuando Cubango, Bengo, Namibe, and now Lubango.

The capital city of the province of Huíla, Lubango, has, since Friday (27/09), with three Internet connection points in “broadband”, inaugurated by the Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, José Carvalho da Rocha, as part of the project called “Angola Online”.

O the first point is installed in the Centrality of Quilemba, the second in Largo do Jardim da Sé Cathedral and the third in the Mocamedes Railway (CFM), each with a range of 30 square meters. Broadband financed by the Angolan Executive, through the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, has an established speed of 50 megabits per second.

As part of this initiative, 130 points have already been installed in different regions of the country, according to the minister. With these services, young people, especially students, now have free access to technological services, from consultation of online manuals, leisure and scientific research.
