Google has Project Ara last year it was just an idea to develop a modular smartphone, but this Thursday Google made it available in your account Google Plus the phone development kit that describes the project in more detail. This kit is an 81-page document that provides some details for developers and also a description of what end users can expect from the device, although the project is still at a very early stage.

As for the physical structure, the devices will be composed of pieces in modules, in a structure similar to a puzzle, the pieces will fit and form the structure of the device. Among the variety of customizable details are, for example, camera, processor, Wi-Fi e battery. In the documents released by Google, the possible sizes for each module were highlighted, with three models of different sizes (small, medium or large) and their visual aspects. Thus, it is expected to maintain a uniform standard and compatible with several models. Mobile phones based on Project Ara will be compatible, of course, with the Android operating system. Nobody expected anything else.

Next week, the Google will hold the first conference for developers interested in Project Ara. The company seeks partners to manufacture the modules, while it will be responsible for developing the body of the gadgets. So far, they are expected to be launched in 2015.
