
A province of Bié will include the implementation of the “Ilumina Angola” project, by the Chinese technology company Huawei, which aims to promote technological inclusion and access to essential services, with an emphasis on rural areas.
The main objective of this program is to bring digitalization and connectivity to rural and remote regions of the country.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of HUAWEI Angola, António Hou, “Ilumina Angola” plans to donate energy and internet technology packages in this region of the country in locations with a low level of development, supporting family farming with the use of technology.

He reiterated that the project will involve the installation of telecommunications antennas and a photovoltaic center.
Without disclosing the investment amount, the person in charge only highlighted that the next step will be to carry out inspection visits in at least three locations, to launch the project.
