DDM project presented in Benguela

The “DDM (Digital Money is Better)” project recently arrived in Benguela, with the aim of increasing financial literacy among local women in the province and strengthening financial inclusion through access to digital finance.

Carried out by the United States Government, through its Agency for International Development (USAID), and the Africell, through Afrimoney Angola, the DDM will also support the creation of an enabling environment for digital finance applications, with the aim of driving the growth of a vibrant, secure and more inclusive digital payments ecosystem in Angola, according to USAID administrator, Samantha Power.

He added that the project is focused on not only improving and expanding the use of mobile money apps, but also on supporting the Government of Angola's objective of increasing financial inclusion.

DDM also focuses on supporting Angolan businesses to better utilize mobile payments and other mobile business applications so they can generate more income and create more jobs.
