The Word of the office package is undoubtedly the most popular and used word processor worldwide. Microsoft always wanting to innovate and also due to the amount of people who use the web created a version of Word and other applications of the office suite for the Web working in the Cloud. It becomes useful mainly when we are on a machine that does not have Word installed or just has an outdated version like 2003 for example.

Microsoft had already launched Word for the web with the interface used in the 2007 Office suite, but recently with the new release of Office 2013 they tried to make Word in the Cloud follow its root, ie normal Word, in this way the new version has its interface completely redesigned. It is possible to notice the differences in the figure on the left representing the Word web app with the interface based on Office 2003 and on the right side the new interface based on Office 2013.

HOW IT WORKS?

With a Microsoft account (hotmail, live, outlook) you only have access to Skydrive and create a new document quickly (depending on your connection) you will be redirected to the Word web app where you can write, add images, that is, the most basic tasks of normal Word.

If the document is stored locally, it is possible to upload or upload it from any local directory and then edit it. After everything is finished, just save from the famous floppy disk that the document will be stored in the cloud (Microsoft servers) and will be available for transfer.

GREAT PURPOSE

The big reason that leads us to use this web app is portability, because you don't even need a computer to access the Word web app, on a tablet or smartphone as long as we have an internet connection we can create, edit our documents and store them in a very safe place.
