For those who use Mozilla Firefox should be aware. A few days ago the Mozilla published a statement in his blog, recommending the immediate update of Firefox due to a serious browser failure.

The crash allows an attacker to secretly send files from an unsuspecting user's computer. It all starts in an ad hosted on a Russian site that introduces a suspicious script that steals files and sends it to a server in Ukraine.

The security breach was detected by a user, who warned the company and explained what was going on. A security update was launched shortly thereafter to combat this vulnerability, so whoever does the update will have their browser protected against this malicious code.

As stated above, the code infiltrates a PDF viewer and, without requiring interaction, is activated and exports files in a non-detectable way. Of course, this is more dangerous for companies that have confidential data, but if you want to keep your computer protected, do what Mozilla recommends, update firefox!

So far, the attack is restricted to a specific ad network, but is feared to spread rapidly. It looks for specific documentation of network settings, directories, and user confidential content.

Where to find the latest version of Mozilla Firefox?
