ClimateLaunchpad, the largest global competition for green business ideas, with a presence in over 50 countries, welcomes entries until 20 June.
The competition supports innovative ideas, at an early stage, in different areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, food and agriculture, water and sanitation, transport and mobility, industrial technology or others that contribute to combating climate change. The initiative features a pitch competition, access to climate change and green business awareness webinars, virtual training, mini courses and digital bootcamps, and follow-up sessions.
In an impact event such as ClimateLaunchpad, entities have the possibility to identify and contribute decisively to the implementation and growth of impact projects that contribute to the reduction of climate change and the development of the country.
ClimateLaunchpad is part of the Entrepreneurship offerings of the EIT Climate-KIC, the EU's leading climate innovation initiative. The world's top 16 ideas gain access to Climate KIC's Accelerator, a program focused on commercializing clean technology. Plus, there are cash prizes that help the most viable startups move their businesses forward in order to make an impact.
In Angola, it is organized for the first time by Acelera Angola, an institution whose mission is to contribute to the economic and technological growth of the entrepreneurship ecosystem, supporting and investing in the development of small businesses that are in the initial phase and beyond, through the implementation of acceleration programs. The first edition of this initiative has the support of IdeiaLab and the Swedish Embassy in Angola.
The competition will take place from May to October, divided into stages that include mini-courses, bootcamp, national final, regional final and global final.
