Counterpoint Research recently released its report showing the most popular mobile phone brands in the US and Europe in the third quarter of 2021, the world's top two territories.
In the USA, the report shows that Apple is the company with the highest number of sales, where in the third quarter of that year it had a sales volume corresponding to 42% of the total market, which represents an increase compared to 39% in the same 2020 period.
As we can see in the picture above, in second place we find Samsung with 35% and then Motorola with only 8%, TCL with 5% and OnePlus with 3%.
BUT: Samsung sells the most, but it's Apple that profits the most in 2021
Now talking about the European continent, the situation is already a little different with Samsung and Xiaomi occupying the top two places. In the case of the South Korean company, in the third quarter of 2021 a sales volume of 30,4% was reached, a significant drop compared to 35,8% last year.
In this same report from Europe, we can see that Xiaomi is having a considerable evolution, since in 2020 it had a sales volume of 15,5%, but in 2021 there was an increase to 23,6%. Apple ranks third with 22,1% of sales, followed by Oppo with 10,1% and Realme with 2,4%.
It should also be noted that from the same report we can see that Apple and Samsung are much more dominant in the US. In the case of Europe, there is a higher prevalence of the Android system, as well as more diluted sales by other manufacturers.
