It seems that the Android system that we are used to seeing on smartphones has decided to migrate to PCs, thus gaining more notoriety and perhaps being able to compete with Windows and other systems in this segment, which will really be difficult.

The Windows platform already has a high market share in the PC segment, but the Remix OS can be a great competitor. This new operating system was introduced at CES 2016, which quite impressed greatly because it is an improvement of the Android system.

Remix OS is entitled to a “Start” menu, programs that open in full screen or in individual windows, a side notification bar that appears with a simple slide to the left and even the use of the right mouse button, Remix OS offers much more than Chrome OS (Google's desktop operating system) in terms of productivity.

one of the most interesting parts of this operating system is that now any user can run Remix OS on any x86 PC or even a MacBook, free of charge. You can download an image of the company's system and send it to a flash drive, or there is also the option to partition your computer to a more permanent partition.

Jide (company that produced the system) promises that, in January, Remix OS will be available for free download on its website. According to her, it will be possible to store it in a memory device (such as a pendrive of at least 8GB or an external hard disk) with 3.0 USB connection and connect it to the PC. No charge, including updates.

With Remix OS, the user typically installs applications as on a smartphone that runs the Android system. While Remix OS is not available, the only way to use it is by the Remix Mini, which is sold online by 70 USD.

Here's how this Operating System works:

Will we even have real competition for Windows?
