A Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has (allegedly) decided to give up developing its own 5G modems in future iPhone models.
The information began to be published on the South Korean website Naver, with the Tech_Reve page on the social network X (former Twitter) to be confirmed via a source within Apple.

According to available information, Apple is "to reorganize investment in the development department of its own 5G modems". Reportedly, the idea of integrating the technology into the next iPhone model "appears to have failed and is expected to be completely eliminated".
Remember that, in September, Apple extended the 2026G modem supply contract with Qualcomm until 5. Therefore, it is likely that we will see this contract being extended if this information is confirmed.
