The Southern African Development Community (SADC) will have response teams to computer incidents, which will be responsible for creating the necessary capabilities and promoting a national cybersecurity culture, as well as raising awareness about the risks and consequences of cyberattacks.
The information was revealed by the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Pascoal Alé Fernandes, at the 2022 edition of the “CyberSecur Summit”.
The secretary informed that Angola continues to be an active participant in CyberSecurity in SADC, highlighting that trust and security in the use of ICTs are vital for building an inclusive, safe and global information society, but cybercriminals are seriously undermine the growth and potential of the online environment.
BUT: Government will invest in the creation of TV SADC
For Pascoal Fernandes, the spread of criminal networks is organized in different countries, and criminals who launch cyber-attacks often use decentralized models, which makes it difficult to adequately resolve any national or regional legal framework.
"With the constant evolution of risks in line with technologies, cybercriminals also seek to exploit vulnerabilities and gaps in technological systems",
