O Bitcoin it is a virtual currency, it is not issued by governments, it appeared in 2008, in the discussion group “The Cryptography Mailing“. At that time, few imagined the appreciation and importance it would have in the future.

Bitcoin works similarly to conventional paper money, where one person transfers to another. But all this happens in the digital environment, without intermediary, like banks, for example.

The creator revealed his identity through a pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, and is called Craig Wright, an Australian entrepreneur. Sending and receiving bitcoins is like exchanging e-mails and the currency can be sold and bought worldwide.

The bitcoin address is provided to whoever will pay with the currency. The user initiates the payment, types the amount on the platform and the payment is validated by the Bitcoin network. The data is recorded in the blockchain, a type of cash book that records all bitcoin transactions.

How to buy and use bitcoins?

  • The first step is to open an account in an exchange, which functions as an email account. This can be done on sites such as kraken.com e coinbase.com,  When you create an account, the user receives a bitcoin address, where he can receive and send the currency.
  • Bitcoins are issued in a decentralized way and their amount is limited to 21 million units. This value is predetermined and publicly known.
  • It is necessary to make a deposit in a currency, which can be in dollar or euro at the chosen site, where the user can convert this value into fractions of bitcoins.

The use of Bitcoin is seen by many experts as the future and some countries are already finding a place in their economy for cryptocurrencies. In Japan, bitcoin is already accepted by the government as a currency.

Bitcoin is a relatively new currency, still experimental, but in constant development. Although still experimental, it becomes less experimental with the growth of its use. One must understand that Bitcoin is something new that is exploring ideas never tried before. So you can not predict your future.

"The biggest reason alleged by people who buy Bitcoins is for investment, you buy the currency and expect it to appreciate a lot and, thus, assume a gain in value".

So, will you stick to this coin?

  1. "The creator revealed his identity through a pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto, and is called Craig Wright, an Australian entrepreneur."

A simple google search shows that this is not true… Nobody knows who Satoshi Nakamoto is today

    • It's just speculation, says the news, no one knows for sure, even he "Craig Wright" couldn't prove that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, but it's hard to believe (not to say impossible), that only a single person created a network of decentralized currencies
