After you have released a HD from 10 TB, Seagate has now decided to launch a 60 TB SSD, thus overcoming the Samsung SSD that supports at most 16 TB. But with this release of Seagate the company becomes the only one with a higher capacity SSD in the world.

This storage device will only be available in 2017, and will be officially presented at “Flash Memory Summit 2016“, A conference that only storage devices and projects from the same segment that are being prepared are presented. Really 60 TB is a ridiculous amount of data; a hard disk that the size can hold 400 million photos or 12.000 films or more depending on the capacity of the films.

The device has been designed for business use and will support hot and cold data, thus allowing data centers to switch their 3,5-inch hard drives to Seagate 60 TB very easily. Seagate also says that in the future it could potentially increase storage to 100TB in the same format.

Now it remains to know the price ... surely it will not be for our humble pockets.
