Over the years, the idea that the Cupertino system, iOS being a more secure operating system than Android has become increasingly popular. More recently, Google has been working to improve this aspect and things have improved a lot since then. Nowadays, Adrian Ludwig, director of Google's Android security department, says the Android operating system has the same level of security as iOS.

Adrian Ludwig says that in an appropriate future Android will pass its rival. According to NDTV, at the "Security" conference in which Ludwig participated, he mentioned that the fact that Android is an Open Source system will help them to have a much better position in this security issue .

andoid-securityAdrian Ludwig stated that "Almost all forms of threats are almost identical in terms of capacity at the platform level". He remembered that rivalry between Google Pixel phones and iPhones was to be expected. Among other things, Adrian Ludwing specified that it is impossible for a hacker to attack a large number of users at the same time, referring to a feature called Safety Net that scans (analyzes) about 400 million devices every day and checks about 6 billions of applications to discover security threats. And in these conditions it is estimated that only 1% of Android terminals are infected with malware today.

One study indicated that the Nexus terminals came out as the safest terminals of the "Androids", and the causes were obvious. Manufacturers include numerous modifications to operating systems, and often updates are released too late. Meaning that users benefit too late from new features. And on the other hand, Nexus users get updates soon after their release.
