Google's operating system is already installed on 5% of smartphones

O Android 13 was released in August last year, first arriving on Google's Pixel smartphones and later on equipment from other brands. Now, new data show that, five months after launch, the latest version of the operating system is installed on just 5% of devices.

According to data from Google's Android Studio platform, devices with Android 12 and Android 12L correspond to 18,9% of the total. Even in August last year, the last time the platform released data on the adoption of different versions of the operating system, this figure stood at 13,5%.

The shared information shows that devices with Android 11 and Android 10 correspond to 24,4% and 19,5% of the total, respectively. With regard to the “older” versions of Google's operating system, Android 9 (Pie) is present in 13,2% of devices.
