Currently many users have dropped the Skype or Whatsapp, migrating to other applications and the only reason many users would return to using it as their primary communication platform would be if the company rebuilt the software from the beginning. Well, luckily, it seems to be what Microsoft is doing with the Skype Mingo, an experimental Skype application for Android which is currently in testing.
According to information, “Skype Mingo” is the “definitive communication center”. Not only does it have the usual video and voice calling functionality based on Skype's mobile data, but it also handles native phone calls, phone contacts and regular messages. The application also appears to be aimed at developing markets like Angola, where data has a certain cost. The release notes indicate that the app is not only “small and fast”, but comes with features like economical calling and on-demand synchronization to help users save money.
It is also worth noting that, Mingo will send and receive texts from your phone, but will not synchronize them anywhere. This is a feature that Microsoft has already called “messages everywhere” and is now known as an SMS relay that is currently only available to those using the application Skype Preview to the latest version of Windows 10 Insider on a phone with the 10 Windows Mobile.
