A election technology solution for polling center and the definitive version of the senior citizen's computer file, for the general elections to be held in August, will be subject to an “independent external audit”.

This information was revealed by the president of the National Electoral Commission (CNE), Manuel Pereira da Silva, last week, informing that the body is already at cruising speed in the preparatory process for the general elections of the second half of August.

"Here, we highlight the beginning of the acquisition of electoral logistics and the production of electoral material, which should start arriving in the country in the next few days“, said Manuel Pereira da Sila at the inauguration ceremony of the headquarters of the electoral body, in the country's capital.

According to the Governor, among the ongoing actions, highlight the acquisition of the electoral technological solution to the polling center, “which will be subject to an independent external audit by an entity chosen within the scope of an international public tender".

"Receipt of the provisional version of the computer file of older citizens, the final version of which will also be subject to an independent external audit“, added the president of the CNE.
