The Angolan state-owned oil company Sonangol will provide financial support, namely between two and three million dollars a year, over a period of five, in support of the operation of Escola 42, which is a virtual learning platform for Programming and Digitization, based on a protocol signed with the Technical Management Unit of the National Staff Training Plan (UTG/PNFQ).

In national territory, School 42 will be housed in the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Technologies and Communication (ISPTEC), and where it was revealed that whoever wants to enter it is mandatory to know international languages such as English and French, and where the Angolan system will be aligned with the platforms of Portugal and Brazil, in Portuguese.

At Escola 42, you learn in a practical way, developing projects among peers, in a model similar to that of a game. Thus, in addition to technical skills, the student develops the capacity for teamwork, problem solving, adaptation, determination, autonomy and resilience. Learning is done by developing projects that allow you to earn points and pass the level, as if it were a game.

BUT: India wants to introduce technologies in Health and Education in Angola

Once the bases have been learned, each student is free to design their own path, choosing projects that allow them to gain knowledge in the areas that most interest them.

For the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sonangol, Sebastião Gaspar Martins, School 42 is one of the most advanced in the world and where this agreement reflects “Sonangol's commitment to supporting the State in the development of human capital” and in helping the Executive to train competent staff.

On the other hand, Edson Barreto, director of the Cabinet of Staff of the President of the Republic, this initiative supports the efforts of the Angolan Executive in matters related to the diversification and digitalization of the national economy.

"We are going to have a school in Angola that is well positioned in the various international rankings, which we consider important. This project meets one of the challenges launched by the holder of the Executive Power, which is to have educational institutions in Angola, well represented”, said the director of the Cabinet of Staff of the President of the Republic.

It should be noted that Escola 42, founded in Franca, in 2013, and which currently has more than 15 thousand students in more than 25 countries, works non-stop, not foreseeing the presence of teachers and schedules, with each student having their own freedom to build your own learning plan, which covers the fields of Programming, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Three-Dimensional Printing.
