Spotify begins removing problematic content from Joe Rogan's podcast

1232

O Spotify finally seems to be taking action in the face of misinformation about the pandemic and vaccination, which comes in the wake of the problems with Joe Rogan on the platform – which led to the departure of several artists from the streaming service.

At issue is the fact that several artists consider that Spotify applied little or no measures on deo mersinformation in the podcast “Joe Rogan Experience (JRE)”, one of the largest on the platform and in general.

Since then, Spotify will have applied new measures and rules on content that could lead to misinformation, and this seems to be now also affecting the episodes created by Joe Rogan.

BUT: Spotify remains the world leader in music streaming

According to a website created to monitor content removed from the creator's podcast, more than 100 episodes have been removed to date. It should be noted that not all episodes have been removed due to misinformation content about the pandemic or vaccination, but a vast majority of them appear as a result of the problems that have occurred in recent times.

Meanwhile, Joe Rogan laments his actions taken in past episodes, stating that such statements shouldn't be said. In particular, it states that some of the removed content would have content considered to be racist, and that it was part of a long list of problematic content marked in the episodes of the same.
