Startup Bluechip Technologies Achieves Pan-African Expansion, Launches Operations in Europe

A Bluechip Technologies, Nigeria's leading provider of business application and data management solutions has announced its entry into Europe following growing demand for its products and services.

This strategic expansion thus positions the company as a new competitor in the European Union (EU) market, offering data storage and analytics products, as well as highly experienced senior data engineers from its team in Nigeria as consultants for European companies.

Leading the European expansion is Richard Lewis, who will be CEO of the Bluechip EU Subsidiary across Europe.

Founded in Nigeria in 2008 by Kazeem Tewogbade and Olumide Soyombo, Bluechip leveraged Kazeem Tewogbade's technical skills and reputation in the IT industry to gain market entry and has since expanded into Ghana, Kenya, Zambia and DRC .

Bluechip Technologies is a business applications company focused exclusively on helping companies plan, design, implement and operate the business application solutions and strategies that are critical to creating and maintaining a competitive business advantage, and has been at the forefront of Africa's data storage growth.

The company specializes in data warehouse, analytics and enterprise systems for banking and telecommunications and has worked with enterprise and infrastructure companies with pan-African and global reach, including MTN, 9mobile, FirstBank, Access Bank, GTBank and Lafarge.

BUT: Bluechip Technologies launches program for aspiring data and technology professionals in Africa

Having successfully delivered (in partnership with international OEMs such as Oracle and Microsoft) a range of enterprise technology infrastructure solutions in the African market, Bluechip is now ready to do the same in Europe and plans to target the telecom and banking sector, from its base in Ireland.

The growing post-pandemic trend in remote working, the critical shortage of technology talent and the increasing demand for data more efficiently all present a great opportunity for Bluechip to bring its experience of more than a decade in the industry, providing services highly specialized in often challenging markets, for the wider EU market.

Recent research projects the region's big data and business analytics market size to reach $105 billion+ by 2027, with many industries implementing digital transformation and ensuring their products and services are technology-enabled.

Bluechip Technologies specializes in gathering data from disparate sources and transforming the data into insights that help companies understand trends such as customer lifetime value, churn and how to make better business decisions based on collected data.

The company believes the key to this is strong data professionals and has recently launched the Primo Academy, a program designed to equip aspiring data professionals in Africa with the skills needed to launch their careers in the data sector and emerging technologies.

Part of the result is putting some of the strongest talent emerging from the program in companies globally, helping to close some of the world's data talent gaps.
