A startup Kubinga and “Loita Capital Partners”, a company incorporated under South African law, will strengthen economic relations in the near future, taking into account the interest expressed in a partnership between the two companies in the 2nd edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair, an initiative of the African Bank for Exports and Imports (Afreximbank), which ended on the 21st.

According to the words of Emerson Paim, CEO of the Angolan startup, his entity sent an information sharing and restriction agreement to the interested party, which is Loita Capital Partners, in order to guarantee that Kubinga's data are not used in any way fraudulently, as has happened in the past.

After this process of sending shares, continues the Founder, the negotiation process and definition of business details will begin.

“We haven't negotiated yet. We had a first conversation and at that moment I am writing an email about an information sharing agreement and restriction to deliver to the potential investor”, said Emerson Paim.

The startup Kubinga consists of a smartphone application that connects passengers and drivers, where the deal materializes when a person interested in moving to a place around Luanda requests a taxi via the Kubinga platform, and the driver closest to the customer takes it.

In this business model, which Emerson Paím defines as “economic sharing”, the owners of the vehicles are individuals, who, having one or more vehicles available, offer to provide the transport service when requested by Kubinga, from the point where they are.

Emerson Paim also stated that of the proceeds from the races, 75% goes to the owner of the car and 25% to Kubinga.

From what the editorial office of MenosFios found, although in March 2020 the Angolan startup had a break due to the confinement resulting from mobility restrictions due to Covid-19, namely the State of Emergency declared by the National Executive, it has been successful in recent months.

This economic increase of the technological company, in that period, has a lot to do with the service designated "corporate portfolio”, says Emerson Paím, which allows companies that have vehicles that are rarely used during the day to use Kubinga's taxi service. In this service, adds the Manager, if a company transports its workers in the morning and then at the end of the day, it can use the vehicle for taxi service to make it more profitable.
