About a year ago, technicians from the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) were certified in France to control the Flight of the AngoSat-2 which will likely be put into orbit next year. Despite this, more than 25 specialists from the same office are, since Tuesday, in training for international certification in assembly, integration and tests of large satellites, including electrical and vacuum term tests.

According to a document published by GGPEN, published on the website of the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication (MTTICS), this training is the result of a partnership with Russia and Airbus, within the scope of the AngoSat-2 project. The report indicates that this is the first time that Airbus offers a certification course of this nature for an African institution in the space area, with specialist trainers from the European aerospace and war company, with vast knowledge and experience in the international space industry.

BUT: World Space Week marked with various events organized by GGPEN

A training action, lasting one month, has modules tailored to the needs and challenges of the National Space Program Management Office, within the framework of ongoing space activities. It is taking place at Airbus' headquarters in the city of Leiden, located in the Netherlands. The training is also a complement to the objective of the National Development Plan (PDN-2022) of continuing to train experts of excellence in the space area.
