Tek MenosFios: iPhone X-Ray (Episode 04)

1924

In recent times smartphones have become devices that are not only used for making calls, and in that same ideology, your iPhone has many features that will always keep you connected. In addition to sending text messages, you can use iMessages containing images and videos for other iOS users, or create a video call with iOS and OS X users with Apple's FaceTime.

With the free service of iCloud, you will be able to synchronize your calendars, contacts, notes, bookmarks and many other data between all your computers and devices. And of course, when you're out and about, you can use the Maps app to find out where you really are, as well as create a turn-by-turn route to wherever you want to go.

Social networks Facebook and Twitter are already built into your iPhone's operating system, so you can stay connected internally in most apps and share photos with others, as well as transfer things to nearby iPhone users directly and without the need to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

All the advantages listed above are added to a modern system, with a clean design and a minimalist look. Your iPhone's interface is designed to prioritize only what you're doing, as it has few boxes or boxes. Apple's idea is that you think that applications work “edge-to-edge”, that is, a new concept in which apps use all available pixels on the screen. In short, it's a totally simplified layout, and even the font (typeface) has been replaced by Helvetica, which half the world praises for its fantastic readability.

With all this emphasis on simplicity, we'd like to let you know that there are little details that you'll definitely be surprised and delighted with, such as the way application icons “float” on the Home Screen over the plan photo. when you tilt the device slightly, resulting in the wonderful parallax effect, as if you were looking into a box with depth instead of a flat screen.

So, in this week's episode of “Tek MenosFios: X-Ray to the iPhone” we're going to give you an overview of the main new features present in iOS 15.

4 Home Screens and Folders

Until iOS 6, it was only possible to create up to 11 Home Screens, but since iOS 7 there is no longer a limit for this. In the latest operating systems, items in a folder can now also span more than one screen, so that it's possible to gather as many apps from the same category as you want in a single folder.
