O Telegram, the platform that is one of the main competitors of Whatsapp, announced this Friday (23) through CEO Pavel Durov, in the official blog that reached the mark of 200 million monthly users.
Through a commended Telegram attributed the brand to word-of-mouth advertising, since it never invested in advertising on the application. That is precisely why it claims that its users are the priority when it comes to developing new features, establishing partnerships or creating security solutions, such as the application of encryption in all communication, a feature in which the messenger claims to be the pioneer.
In addition, the company guarantees that it has never stored or sold its users' information to third parties. Telegram was launched in 2013. In February 2016, it reached 100 million monthly active users.
O WhatsApp has 1,5 billion users, but has implemented several features that appear before the competitor, such as deleting messages sent, facilitating and recording voice messages.
The Telegram has implemented a night mode that facilitates the display of texts through contrast, with dark background and white letters. The feature can be activated automatically, according to a time specified by the user, or manually, whenever it wishes.
