Alcatel Touch with Firefox OS

The market is full of mobile operating systems, commanded (in terms of marketshare) by Android, accompanied by iOS, Windows Phone and… now, one more operating system decides to enter this war: the Firefox OS.

For the implementation of this project, the Mozilla organization has decided to join Alcatel, ZTE, Telefonica and Deutsche Telekom.

The first mobile phones launched will be the ZTE Open and the Alcatel One Touch Fire, and come with the aim of competing with the big companies in the market for cheaper mobile phones, a strategy that Nokia used a lot in its years of grandeur. But cheap mobile phones and the level of simplicity that Mozilla intends to launch will exist on the market. What is the difference? The answer is obvious: Firefox OS. This operating system is open source (of course, it is from Mozilla) and based on HTML 5.

According to Mozilla, Firefox OS phones will have access to the Firefox Marketplace, which will have HTML5 apps in several categories, such as games, news and media, music and productivity.

Below is the video of Firefox OS. Now it remains for us to know what will be the reception of this new Operating System in the already competitive mobile phone market… Tomorrow the ZTE Open will be launched in Spain, costing 90 USD (9 thousand AKZ). Mozilla started well ... Will Unitel and Movicel take advantage of this “coach” to test the new operating system at a low cost?
