Bloomberg revealed some data collected by data.ai about how spending on apps was in 2023, indicating that TikTok surpassed $10 billion in revenue. It is the first app to go beyond this level.
It serves to remember that the TikTok generates revenue through payments made by users to their favorite content creators and streamers, with researchers considering that the app may have “unlocked the secret of monetization on mobile”.
BUT: TikTok will improve user experience on the desktop version
With regard to other trends, it was found that there was an 11% growth in revenue achieved through apps and that it even exceeded the amounts spent on mobile phone games.
