O TikTok went public to inform that all app user data in the US is being stored in the country, ensuring that it does not send any of this data for storage abroad.

The application, owned by the Chinese ByteDance, was at risk of being banned in the US by the Trump administration but, at the time, reached an agreement with the North American Oracle to store the data of American users in data centers of the technology.

"Currently, 100% of user data is being sent to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure", said TikTok in official note.

BUT: Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Google and others agree on new EU rules to fight misinformation

"We still use our data centers in the USA and Singapore, but we are continuing our work and hope to erase the private data of users in the USA from the data centers and transfer it to Oracle's cloud servers located in the USA”, continued the video platform.
