With the aim of promoting the inclusion of women in the technology sector, TIS and the Angolan Women's Community for Technology and Information (CFTIA) have established a partnership, the MenosFios editorial team learned in a statement.
According to the note, the memorandum between the two institutions is integrated with TIS's social responsibility strategy, an initiative that aims to train young technology professionals, through specialized training, curricular internships and support for events that promote female talent in the technology market.
The commitment goes beyond training. The partnership guarantees annual internships for young women who have graduated in the technology field, providing practical experience in a dynamic and challenging business environment. In addition, workshops and lectures led by TIS experts will be held to develop technical skills and prepare participants for the challenges of the job market.
"The exclusion of women in this sector represents a loss of talent and potential for Angola. With this partnership, we reaffirm our commitment to creating real opportunities and driving an inclusive digital transformation.”, said Yara Mupei, Director of Human Capital at TIS. “The program covers young women between the ages of 16 and 35, from Higher Education and Polytechnic institutions”He added.
BUT: Presence of women in the technology sector has grown, highlights Government
