A Public Television of Angola (TPA) currently has the technical conditions to receive the signal from the Angosat-2, automatically no longer relying on international satellites to transmit its television signal to viewers.

From the TPA Central, located in Camama, Talatona Urban District, the antenna that will receive the signal through Angosat-2 is already installed, as well as the data center that has the mission of transmitting to the studios until it reaches the viewer.

"The reception of the signal coming from Angosat-2 will allow TPA to reduce the costs of renting the current transport, being Russian. With Angosat-2 costs will drop radically” said Costa Nganga, Head of the TPA Broadcast Network Operations Department, reiterating that it will not affect the transmission signal that reaches viewers.

BUT: Telecommunications companies claim not to have technical information on Angosat-2

To inform that the President of the Republic has already authorized the commercial exploitation of Angosat-2, with most of the proceeds going to the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN), but only after completing the process of creating the conditions for attributing management and exploitation to a public entity.

According to the presidential order, GGPEN will receive 50% of the revenues, the National Treasury will receive 40% and the remaining 10% will remain with the Social Support Fund for Communications Workers.
