Everything about the Unitel 1 Orange

Today we start a new line of product reviews used by our users or not, in order to better know some of the technology items that are used in our country.

It was difficult to choose the first item, but if we take into account that it is in the hands of most people who have a mobile phone, the choice has become easier and obvious. Therefore, we will begin our line today with the beloved Laranjinha 1 from Unitel, which in addition to a product widely used in Angola, is of an Angolan brand.

O Laranjinha 1

As the name indicates this was the first oranges launched by Unitel. The same came out in 2012 (already is a kota in our market) and we can consider it a feature phone, that is, it is not smartphone, but besides functions of mobile phone, also has other functions like calendar, games, music player, etc. It does not have a Premium finish, but this was not Unitel's goal when it launched 1 Orange. The purpose of this phone was to offer its customers a low cost and simple mobile phone.

Screen, Processing and Storage

The 1 Orange has an 1.8 color TFT screen, a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and a pixel density of 262K. This means that the mobile phone does not require so much processing to be able to display its graphs since they are not in high definition. So the mobile phone has a RAM memory of 8MB that perfectly serves to perform all the functions of the phone, which never choked on any of the tests we do.

The mobile phone has 2MB internal storage, which gives little more than 100 SMS or 100 contacts. But there is the possibility of expansion of the same via MicroSD card that can reach up to a maximum of 16GB. This extra space already allows some space for music, photos and videos that the internal memory almost does not allow.

Camera, Connectivity, and Applications

Don't expect a higher quality camera on a low-cost mobile phone. Therefore, Laranjinha comes equipped with a VGA camera with a resolution of 640 × 480, that is, a resolution close to 0.3 megapixels.

Your phone works with 2G networks, so you do not have access to data networks like 3G or 4G. It also has no internet connection, but comes from the 3.0 Bluetooth connection. So forget about sharing photos with facebook or another application, since you can not install new applications on your phone.

If you are looking for that phone that will not let you down when your objective is to call and not always stay battery, then Orange is the right phone for you. With a battery of 400mAh, it allows 300 hours in standby (standby), 4 hours of conversation and up to 3,5 hours of music. The 1 Laranjinha was released in 2012 with the official price of 2.500AKz. Currently its price is 5.500AKz in official Unitel stores, or may vary between 6.000 and 8.500AKz on other unofficial sellers.

Final Opinion of the Lesser

If you are looking for a low-cost mobile phone that is above all a mobile phone to make calls, that keeps you away from the jacks and is a "stick to the whole work" then the Orange 1 works for you. Therefore, it is an ideal mobile phone for those looking for a low price, some day to day functions without large screens and powerful processing. There are also those extras that give that "something more" when we are talking about a cell phone as simple as the 1 Orange, such as a flashlight (which is missing a lot in our city), FM radio, MP3 player and more.

The battery life is undoubtedly one of the strengths of the orange, which makes this phone a real equipment for everyday life. If you have two "chips" (SIM cards), a suggestion is to use a smartphone for one of the "chips" and the other to be active with a little orange. In our opinion, at Unitel's official price, it is a great phone to buy.
