For the followers of the Twitter (there is double meaning in this sentence), surely they must have realized that at roughly two hours, the social network of 140 characters is out of order.
For both the mobile version and the web version, the answer is the same:
Something is technically wrong.

Company initially confirmed the interruption with a tweet from your account @support. At this point it is impossible to see Tweet because the system is down. The message was as follows: "Some users are currently experimenting problems accessing Twitter. We are aware do problem and we are working in the sense of a resolution. "
Failures on Twitter were common in the beginning of the company's activity, but lately they have been rare. These failures usually happen when there is an overload on the servers, something that happens when there is an event that “forces” users to share many messages.
Another theory is that Twitter is under attack, but we will only know this later if the company confirms. In the past we have had several cases of social networks which were left out of service, but there was no detailed explanation of the reasons for the failures.
In the meantime, we all came back to Facebook, right?
