Our Last times, Twitter has made huge investments to provide its users with a broader experience in sharing their thoughts. Having Facebook as a direct competitor, Jack Dorsey felt the need to cope with the news presented by Mark Zuckerberg, streaming videos on 360º, and bought the startup company Magic Pony.
The recent acquisition aims to improve the visual quality of videos shot by network users. Magic Pony Tecnology, in fact, does magic; it uses machine learning for video compression and algorithms that can turn low-quality images into images at a better resolution. Another advantage is that this optimization is capable of being done using low-end graphics cards, thus becoming more efficient over time.
These requirements are very important because Twitter is very strong in the mobile platform, with many transmissions (Periscope) and content (Vine) made exclusively by mobile phones, but seen on all platforms.
The Twitter CEO, said on the official blog that this new collaboration aims to "improve our presence in live streams and opens up a series of creative and exciting possibilities for Twitter".
