A UNITEL and the Ministry of Education recently signed a memorandum of understanding for improving the quality of national education, as well as learning and promoting digital inclusion in the education system.
The agreement between the two institutions has as its objective the application of virtual teaching, in a first phase, for teachers and students of schools in the provinces of Huambo and Bié, was signed by the President of the Executive Committee of UNITEL, Miguel Geraldes and by the National Director of Education Secondary, Orlando Lundoloque.
According to Miguel Geraldes, UNITEL's intention is for the Virtual School to bring rich experiences.
“The accelerated pace of technological innovation demands that education also renew itself, making teaching more creative, stimulating interest in learning and placing schools on a platform to respond to the educational challenges necessary for the formation of future generations. UNITEL's intention is to provide rich experiences with the use of educational technologies and, as a result, students are ready for the job market”, reported.

On the other hand, the Minister of Education Luísa Grilo underlined that technologies are fundamental for education, since there is no education without the use of Information and Communication Technologies.
"The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that the education system needs to be resilient and a real revolution, so that technologies accommodate in it".
Named "Eunice of Carvalho”, the Virtual School starts already in the next academic year, and for its operation, Huawei Angola will supply the equipment and technological solutions such as computers and projectors, while UNITEL will provide Internet access and connectivity in schools, stimulating the habit of research and learning.
