Unitel launches health information website with free access

A Unitel signed an agreement with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and the website was launched internetquekuia.org, in order to provide users with free health content.

Internetquekuia.org is a website that can be accessed free of charge without the user spending their data balance. It contains various information such as: how should the baby be breastfed? What can be done to prevent and prevent diseases such as malaria and cholera? How can young people protect themselves from virtual harassment and surf the internet safely?

This and other practical information for the whole family is available on the online Internet platform that Kuia a website specially made to be accessed in mobile phones and tablets.

UNITEL clients do not need data balances to access the site. If there is a balance on your phone, it will not be charged on the platform pages.

The Internet that Kuia is the national name for the initiative Internet of Good Things, launched on 2015 by UNICEF and which brings information to the population of 63 countries in partnership with telecom operators such as UNITEL. In 2017, the pages linked to the platform had almost 11 millions of users.

The website was created with the aim of providing greater access to health issues, “access to information can change people's lives. An informed mother can protect her baby from various illnesses; an informed community leader can change the life of his community by bringing about positive behavioral changes; an informed teenager can help friends and colleagues avoid HIV and end myths related to sexuality, while children can learn about their rights ”.
