After a day of immense complaints regarding communication on the Unitel network on October 11, we left the challenge in our page on Facebook: would Unitel be able to come to the public to explain the reasons for the serious flaws in their service that day !?

Well, coincidence or not, Unitel decided to explain to its customers the reason for such failure, in a communication made from the official page on facebook. I leave the text here in full.

Unitel hereby clarifies to all its Clients that the unavailability of services verified yesterday and that affected the communications in some Provinces of Angola, has already been resolved.

The situation was due to a serious breakdown in one of the central network control equipment, which occurred yesterday, 11 October, at the beginning of the day. Every effort has been made to resolve the problem as soon as possible, with the situation stabilizing in the early evening.

Unitel requests the understanding of its clients due to the inconvenience caused and reinforces its commitment to continue providing a high quality as well as innovative service in the Telecommunications sector in Angola.
