17 day of January the Sistec auditorium received an audience eager to exchange information. Angolan programmers were gathered for the event “Meet.Us ()“, Which is already in the 2nd edition. While we don't have the presentations yet, see a summary of the event:

1. Célio Garcia - Cordova / Phonegap Hybrid Mobile Applications

The first speaker was Célio Garcia, known for projects like Sendout and Kwanza Online, brought up a theme involving hybrid mobile applications. If you need to develop applications compatible with multiple platforms, stay tuned because we will publish this presentation soon.

2. Osvaldo Júnior - Creating websites for multiple devices

With the growth of the mobile market in Angola, it is clear that companies need to restructure their websites. So why not make them responsive? The speaker brought a set of good practices that will help any webdeveloper to develop websites compatible with different devices.

3. Nakassony Bernardo - Componentization and Reuse with PHP and JavaScript

To finish the first part of applications we had the developer Nakassony Bernardo who made a totally different presentation, that is, totally “hands-on“. The speaker explained step by step how to reuse and componentize with PHP and Javascript, showing the advantages of these techniques. This topic sparked a lively debate.

4. Benone Marcos - Licensing your application

The head of AngolanOS, Benone Marcos, opened the afternoon session with a theme of public utility: application licensing. It showed what Angolan law has on this matter and gave several practical examples of how current Angolan applications still do not comply with the licensing “rules”.

5. Providing Norton - Genetic Programming and Machine Learning with Python and / or Matlab

O responsible for the GDG Luanda brought an innovative theme that is the basis for great advances in artificial intelligence, genetic programming e machine learning. In the presentation we found a guide for those who want to take the first steps in this field. The speaker also showed the opportunities in Angola for those who specialize in these topics.

6. Randy Ambrósio - Big Data

Have you ever wondered how large companies process the vast amounts of information? Well, the speaker showed how the Big Data concept has been applied to respond to the problem of high volume information processing, showing the historical evolution of technology and how it could be used in Angola.
