In the last few days, users of Instagram, Messenger and, mainly, in the WhatsApp from several countries have already noticed a new feature: Meta's intelligent chatbot, named AI goal that appeared on the main applications screen.
The assistant allows questions and requests such as “What is the weather forecast for Luanda?” or even creative and playful requests, such as “What would a dog bark like?” The premise is that Meta AI generates answers instantly, offering interactions with texts and images.
This launch is a direct response from the company Mark Zuckerberg ao ChatGPT, from OpenAI, which revolutionized the technology sector in 2022, and also other similar assistants, such as Gemini, from Google, and the Copilot, Microsoft. Meta AI's imaging functionality puts the company in the running against tools like Adobe's Firefly, Midjourney and DALL-E.
Meta AI’s strength lies in word manipulation, especially when given existing texts to improve. When asked to shorten long paragraphs or change sentences from passive to active voice, it proved to be efficient, delivering concise and contextual results. For students, for example, the assistant can be useful when reviewing texts or creating tests based on existing content.
Another strong point is its image generation function. Using the “/imagine” command, users can quickly create creative images, such as a picture of a cat sleeping in a window. The wizard proved to be faster than other tools, such as Midjourney, which can take more than a minute to generate an image.
