Space travel can become easier and cheaper very soon

Many people have the dream of going to the moon, to feel what only astronauts can explain today. Unfortunately these trips are not within everyone's reach, unless you have 70 millions of USD to spend on vacation.

But space agencies like NASA (the US space agency) are increasingly interested in supporting commercial space flights. Currently, most space flights are exploration, pure science. The good news is that three American companies are at an advanced stage to achieve certification for “space taxis”. So there will be no more dependence on the Russian ship, Soyuz, which is the only one to make manned flights to the International Space Station (ISS).

The 3 companies involved in the “space taxis” process are: Boeing e Sierra Nevada Corporation and Space X. The latter was highlighted in the main media because of the launch of “Dragon V2”, a ship capable of carrying seven people in a single flight, something unprecedented.

NASA hopes that by 2017 the tests of these space taxis will be carried out and after that it will be much easier to get a "ride" to space, that is, to the international space station (IIS). The United States has been betting more on the space program since the beginning of the tension with Russia, since some sanctions were imposed on Russia and the Russian Prime Minister was adamant in saying

... the sanctions against Russia will have a boomerang effect on the North American space program ... maybe NASA should transport its astronauts to the International Space Station using a springboard.

After those words, the solution was to speed up the “space taxis” projects. And there is the result.
