By the end of the year 2016, Microsoft announced that Visual Studio would reach users of the macOS system, during the event Microsoft Build 2017, finally the official presentation happened.
I'm sure that cross-platform compatibility is going to be more and more important for Microsoft, as it is trying to make the new version of its operating system “Windows 10S”The center of attention. Since in Windows 10S it is only possible to install applications from your store, so the company needs to prove that it can really attract developers, particularly developers of the Android and iOS system to the Universal Windows Platform.
The easiest way that Microsoft found to do this, was to give developers the possibility to reuse the code they have already created for other platforms, using the tool Xamarin . And with Visual Studio now available on the Mac, teams can work together using the Microsoft tools on the device of their choice.
