O WebSummit shared the first details for the 2024 edition, highlighting the first guests and companies represented at the technology summit that returns to Portugal in November.
In an initial assessment of Web Summit 2023 and looking ahead to the 2024 edition, Paddy Cosgrave admitted that last year the event “almost collapsed”. But everything is different in this edition, highlighting that 2024 is already the biggest year in terms of revenue. Changes have been made over the last 12 months to ensure that the technology summit gets back on track and as important as it was in previous years.
In a statement, the Web Summit has already confirmed several names of speakers and companies present in Lisbon, including Meta, Alibaba.com, Amazon Web Services, Adobe, Visa, Wiz, KPMG, Zoom, LVMH, Salesforce and Qualcomm. It also features the initiative of the The Ukraine Tech ecosystem. For the first time, it will welcome Novo Nordisk, creator of the drug Ozempic, considered the most valuable company in Europe.
Starting with some statistics, the 2024 edition will welcome more than 70 visitors, including more than 2.750 investors and an all-time record of XNUMX startups. The organization ensures a new focus on fostering meaningful connections between visitors and encouraging community gatherings.
