O WhatsApp announced the launch of a new voice chat feature that promises to be ideal for large groups – a solution that appears to be inspired by other platforms like Discord.

As the website The Verge reports, this functionality can be used by groups of between 33 and 128 people. Upon receiving the call, each person will receive a notification that will allow them to join the group. When joining the call, the message window will continue to be present, with the controls becoming available at the top.

BUT: New on WhatsApp Android: authentication via email

This new feature is being gradually launched by WhatsApp for Android and iOS and should reach more and more people over the next few weeks.
