O WhatsApp is testing a new feature in the latest Android beta that will give users the ability to 'log out' from the app's Settings.

As reported by Android Authority, the new option can be found by users of this beta version in the Account area of the Settings, just below Delete account. The publication says that, by pressing Logout, the options to delete or keep data and preferences will be presented.

If you decide to log out while keeping your data and preferences, you will (naturally) be able to keep all your information untouched. However, if you decide to delete your data and preferences, it will be like uninstalling WhatsApp from your phone and taking a short break from the messaging app.

It is not known when this feature will be available in the final version of WhatsApp, but since it is already being tested in the beta version, it is possible that it will not take long for it to reach us.

It's Official: You can now use WhatsApp on your iPad
