
O WhatsApp announced that it has begun testing monthly limits on the number of messages that can be sent in bulk, seeking to reduce spam on the application.
The messaging app said it plans to make changes to the app so that users see fewer messages from unknown contacts, effectively reducing the amount of spam users are subjected to.

TechCrunch reports that the company is testing monthly limits on the number of messages sent in bulk – whether by individuals or businesses. It is not yet known what this monthly limit will be, but WhatsApp has given the example of placing a limit of 30 messages per month.
Alternatively, WhatsApp has suggested that it will still be possible to communicate with contacts via Status or Channels. We will have to wait, however, to see what changes will be implemented.
