WhatsApp tests new global content player

O WhatsApp has been releasing new features on a regular basis for its platform, and many are still in testing. From time to time, some of these features appear earlier than they should be, allowing you to see what is being prepared soon.

According to the WABetaInfo portal, WhatsApp is now testing a new multimedia player for content shared on the service, which would facilitate the reproduction of content such as videos and audio from the platform.

This new reader is being tested on the Beta versions of WhatsApp, and seems to be focused on all systems where the application is available – desktop, web and mobile devices.

BUT: Meta company may be forced to sell WhatsApp and Instagram

One of the novelties is the fact that users can keep the contents playing in the background, while they navigate to other conversations. That is, if content from a conversation is being reproduced, users can navigate to another chat without the audio being stopped.

The global player would still have the traditional commands such as stop and play, in a fixed way through the interface.
