Looking at the table, in the image above, it may seem that the greater the available storage, the greater the space that Windows 10 Mobile (W10M) occupies. However, it is important to remember that any device always reserves some internal space for itself, to perform its basic functions, which would indicate that the update actually occupies approximately 4,5 GB of space.

ATTENTION:

  • 8GB = 7,5GB - 4,5 = 3GB
  • 16GB = 14,5 - 4,5 = 10 GB
  • 32GB = 29,5 - 4,5 = 25 GB

The first value on each line is the total storage space, while the second indicates approximately the space actually available for use. The 4,5 GB is the total occupied by W10M and the last value is what is left over after the system is properly installed.
