A Apple WWDC 2024 began with the reveal of some new features for iOS 18 in terms of customization, but there is also a new focus on security.
The new version of Apple's system will feature a new feature, where users can quickly hide and block access to certain apps on the system.
This new function allows, for apps with sensitive content, users to block access with an additional layer of security, where they can only be accessed after validating their identity – via Face ID, Touch ID or passcode.
When an app is blocked, it no longer appears directly in the system, and even in search. Notifications and other information are also hidden.
Only when the app is unlocked will users have access to this information. Blocked apps will appear in a new dedicated folder, where all their hidden content will be located.
This new feature will be part of the new features expected for iOS 18, and will certainly be a way to improve system security and prevent unauthorized access to apps on it.
