O YouTube announced through an official post on its blog that it will begin removing videos that are identified as “blatant clickbait”, that is, videos that have thumbnail images that do not reflect the content.
As for “blatant clickbait,” YouTube says it will consider it to be a video where “the title or thumbnail includes promises or claims that are not conveyed in the video itself, especially when the content focuses on breaking news or current events.”
BUT: TPA YouTube channel hacked and used for criminal purposes
YouTube noted that, initially, it will remove these videos without any associated punishment, a situation that will change over the “coming months” when these rules begin to be reinforced.
