Um judge sentenced former YouTuber Austin Jones to ten years in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of "receiving child pornography."
O YouTube removed Jones' channel in February after his guilty plea. Jones' career as a musician began in 2007, and he gained fame on YouTube with popular music covers. In 2015, reports emerged that he had contacted underage girls to send videos to himself. Jones admitted the charges in a video on his channel, saying he was embarrassed, but denied that he requested explicit videos from fans.
However, Jones was arrested in 2017 for requesting explicit videos of two underage girls, and he admitted using the Facebook and the iMessage to chat with teenage girls, encouraging them to send you porn videos. Jones pleaded guilty to the charges. Although YouTube demonized your account, it initially did not remove your account after your confession, saying that the channel itself did not violate its terms of service.
