Zambia in the process of getting SpaceX internet access

2531

It is no longer news that SpaceX has been strongly penetrating the African continent, an example of which is that, The National Institute of Communications of Mozambique (INCM) recently announced the granting of a license to the American company providing Internet services Starlink, a SpaceX project.

But apparently another African country is about to join the SpaceX project, the company is in talks with Zambian officials, offering Starlink internet services to the country.

Recently, Jito Kayumba (the Special Assistant for the Republic of Zambia), tweeted about SpaceX and the country's authorities meeting about Starlink services.

BUT: Starlink arrives in Africa and now operates on all continents

"Our President's engagement with the SpaceX team and its Starlink initiative will enhance Zambia's position in the digital economy and enable universal access to the Internet and other technologies. Grateful for this initiative by visionary entrepreneur Elon Musk”, tweeted Kayumba.

What is missing for Angola to join SpaceX Internet services?

About a month ago, some SpaceX executives were in Angola, and they certainly met with some executives from the Angolan side represented by INACOM, GGPEN, and INFRASAT🇧🇷 It is not known for sure what took this entourage to our country, but the caption “Reception of SpaceX in Angola. Advancing the Angolan Space Program”, this visit by the North American company could be interpreted in several ways, but let's let things happen, sooner or later we will have news.
